Writing Custom Prompts for Your Faceless Videos

The Custom Prompt Guide

Welcome to AutomaticShorts.com! Our platform allows you to effortlessly manage a faceless channel by automatically creating and uploading unique videos tailored to your chosen topics. To ensure you make the most of our service, here's a comprehensive guide on how to use our Custom Prompt feature effectively:

What is a Custom Prompt?

The Custom Prompt feature allows you to provide detailed instructions to our AI, which it uses to write the 'scripts' for each video in your Series.

Below are a few example prompts that we commonly use. Note how leaving them open-ended allows for each video in your series to be diverse while staying on topic.

  • Life Pro Tips: 'Choose and discuss a random life pro tip. Please provide a detailed explanation to support your tip. This tip can cover any useful knowledge, ranging from personal finance and cooking to relationships and beyond. To engage the reader, start your content with a captivating introduction.'
  • Fun Facts: 'Please select a fascinating fact and craft a captivating narrative around it. The objective is to enhance the reader's knowledge and intelligence in an enjoyable and engaging manner.'

You can also get more specific to provide a cohesive narrative for each video in your Series:

  • Life Pro Tips: 'Tell a story from the 1st person perspective of a Dog named Charlie, a 3 year old Golden Retriever that lives in the suburbs of Chicago with the Smith family. Choose a single, heart warming event from Charlie's life. Include names, dates, and specifics for a personal touch.'

Prompt Guidelines

  • Your prompt influences only the script text and image preferences. It does not control timing, music selection, or other elements.
  • The AI does it best at avoiding duplicating past videos in your Series when generating new content.
  • Videos in the series do not know about each other. So you won't be able to make videos that start and continue in another video.
  • Test your prompt to see the generated script and make adjustments as needed.
  • Prompts work best when you word them as if you were instructing a single video, while keeping it broad enough so that videos don't repeat (see examples below).

Continued:

Let's say you enter a custom prompt for your series, such as: 'Discuss an interesting fact about Genghis Khan'. Each video that is created in your series will follow the prompt you gave, while also doing its best to avoid duplicating content from past videos in the same series. So, the first video might be a fact about Genghis Khan's military, the next may be about Genghis Khan's leadership, then his legal code, etc.

If you wanted each video in your series to be about something different but still follow the general category of war, then your prompt should be something like: 'Please write about a highly interesting event that happened in history related to war.' In this case, the first video may be about 300 from Troy, then about The Battle of Gettysburg, etc.

If you've ever used ChatGPT before, it's similar to if you gave it your instructions and asked it to write a video script related to that. Each time you ask it, it will come up with something different. The videos in the series behave similarly.
